Hi Cast Boolit Brothers!
A few month ago I asked the forum after the possibility to tumble lube boolits, which are created for Hitek / powder coating (without lube grooves), because tumble lube was my way to go lubing process since a few years. Cheap and easy.
I asked Miha and he makes me an offer, that I couldn't refuse: He sent me the mold for free, if I test it out and do a report about my experiences to the Forum. It was the 6cav brass mold of the HG#275 clone in the Hitek Version. A very nice piece of art and a pleasure to cast with.
So I casted a bunch of boolits, tumble lubed them, sized down to .356 and loaded them for 9mm with Lovex D032 (Accurate No.2) to test it in my S&W 5906 (5") and a CZ 75 Sport II (6").
The result wasn't that good, there was leading after only 20 shots and the precision was not as expected. So I was forced to handle the boolits with the right purpose: powder coating. I bought the powder and a little Pizza oven for my workshop and powder coated the bullets.
I was impressed, how easy it was to handle and I asked myself, why I never have tried this before? Well, I think there was not the rigth mold in my collection, until now!
So I loaded and tested a bit and ...et voila, the precision was there (25m, off hand).
I'm very thankful that Miha gave me the chance to test it and to see how it works - with try and error.
So big thanks @MiHec - the mold is outstanding and I love to make boolits with it, also with PC!
Greets,
Martin
