Bubba’ed Moison Nagant scout conversion done!

I went ahead an finished the scout project. I turned the ATI scope mount around, cut off about 1/2 inch that I contoured to fit the receiver, drilled and tapped the action, loctited the screws and put the mount on, and s 2x Leupold IER scope, cold blued the barrel where the sights had been removed. I then took the bolt apart and polished it to a chrome luster. I think she looks pretty good, and the eye relief is perfect! The stock looks pretty good, ole Bubba did alright on that. I left the bolt handle sticking straight out. I can send pics for someone to post that can!

Thats the way we figured out to mount LER scopes on our rebarreled MN that we rebarreled to .416 Russian Express using a mount from Optics Planet about 5 years back, works great.Robert

I'm pretty partial to the scout scope concept myself.

Looks like a fun shooter....I have a 3x12 scope coming for mine and an S&K scout mount....if that were my rifle I'd clean up that blunt cut off nose... won't shoot any better but more balanced looking that way...matter of fact if you honed it down properly you could BS it is a Czech sniper ZG 51/91/30 that were half stocked like that (altho with a short upper hand guard/barrel band)

That don’t look bubba’d ; looks like a poor mans walking around rifle; nice work, I bet it’ll shoot cause I’ve Mande plenty of them with near sewer pipes shoot good enough for minute of whitetail.

Nice rifle. It turned out pretty good. I always liked the rifles like these. You don't get upset if the rifle gets dirty, or scratched or something when out hunting. I remember some guys who refused to go into the brush as they didn't want to scratch their rifles etc.

I like it. I would not call that a bubba rifle, too well done for that. The only thing
I would change would be to re-do the straight bolt handle. I “can” use them but prefer the lowered handles. Just one of my little preferences. james

Decent looking 'scout' rifle. I like it.

Nicely done! - does your eye line up with the scope when you throw her up - I had to put a cheek riser on mine to get instant alignment.
