    Scopes?????

What brands of rifle scopes are made specifically for air gun use?
What brands will withstand airgun use?

    Thank You

Springer or PCP airgun? Big difference - the Springer airguns are really rough on scopes and takes a really good scope. A PCP airgun is much milder and most all scopes will work on those.

You'll want scopes warranteed for use on springers if that is what you have, I've had good luck with Hawke scopes...for PCPs any scope will work, either way you will need a scope with mil-dots for the airguns loopy trajectory. Check out videos by Joe Rhea on Airgun nation, he reviews lots of airgun scopes.

I talked to the guys at Vortex a BUNCH. There was a couple different ones they said would work but ALL of their scopes are spring gun rated. I have the Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 AO on my Air Arms TX200. I can shoot out to 70 yards with this set up pretty well.

Pinty makes a nice scope for the money. I have two of different models on my air rifles.

Leupold scopes are Airgun rated as well. I got a VX1 1-4x on my R1 it's fine but I wish the cross hairs were finer.

Burris also made Airgun scopes and I've had one on my HW77 for close to 30 years. Sighted in once.
