    Oversized shank?

So a few years back I bought a LEE 8mm KAR. This thing drops at a whopping 234gr, 0.329", and has a gas check shank that's 0.314". It's hasn't seen much use but I'm hoping to change that.

The weight is fine, the diameter can be sized down, but I have no idea what to do about the gas check issue. I believe normal 8mm gas checks use a shank that's 0.301"-0.304". Suggestions?

Aaron I modified a FCll[ to fit the Kar. What size are you sizing to? I will send you some free samples to try. Send a private PM with shipping info.

I had a similar issue with a Lee 500 gr .458 mold. I made up a punch that expanded the gas check a few thousandths, which solved the problem.
