Need a IMR4227 load for the 30-223 or 300 Apache

Looking for a hunting load with the Lee 230gr bullet and IMR 4227 for use in a 30-223 bolt action. Close range deer load.

I doubt you will have enough volume capability to get that bullet to the velocities you want.

Yes and I thank you, but I have found that sometimes you will get other members to chime in if you rephase or ask for help using a different wording. It seems that some may not be interested in say the 30-223 but they might be if you state a certain powder or what you hope to achive .

You will want something along the lines of 4895 or a bit faster I suspect, for your 230's

Never thought about 4895. I might have a lb. of H4895.
