    Svarog Italian 12 slug test

I ran these through my smoothbore a few months back and got outstanding results with three shots almost cloberleafing.

Here’s a short video I did with the same load firing through a rifled barrel.

I can see that the Russians are going to be tampering with my bank account. That company has four or five moulds I'd like to have. I think first up will be their adjustable weight .410 slug mould. Gp

what trick do you use to get them off the tail, the zavarog I use the mold to hold them and pull the slug off the base pin but I have yet to find an easy way to do the italian.

I use a light coat of spray graphite when I cast. I get the center pin hot with the mold.

tried that, must be doing something wrong, maybe I'll try it again. did some sanding on the fins for the zavarog and added a little tin to the alloy and they look just like the advertising photos, tried powder coating them and they look really sharp, hopefully I can get the italian to cooperate.

rancher1913; I don't own any of the zavarog moulds so this is just something that works with the large base pins of my Lyman moulds and HP pins on a few others. Using a Q-tip when the pins are hot, apply a thin coat of dielectric silicon grease. Also what I use to lube all my moulds, sprue plate to blocks. It doesn't migrate. Gp

I use a lite coat of permatex antiseize lube when the pin is hot, wipe off the excess, works good on the sprue plate screws, and mold handle pins as well.

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.

yah thats the zavarog, I'm getting full fill out on the outer rings, started out with several missing links like the one on the right of the photo but after some work to the fins I get good fill.
