It is extremely hard to go wrong with 10 grain Unique.

That is and has been my standard load for 44 Magnums for a couple decades now. In fact I use it for 240/250 grain SWCs, as well as 180 grain full wadcutters. For heavy for caliber projectiles I usually run H110, but I have run 10 grains Unique, and it has proven to be both quite accurate, and not unpleasant to shoot. It is very hard to top Unique.

That said, with H110 and 300-320+ grain cast projectiles I usually run 22.5 grains H110. That said, I for the sake of longevity I normally reserve these for my Redhawks, S-Blackhawks, etc. While the N Frames will handle limited amounts of these loads, I tend not to abuse them. If I were limited to shooting just my M29s, I would back off my 300 grain/H110 load to 19.5 grains.

    Hope this is helpful.

You can never have too many reloading manuals on your loading bench. Just saying......

How true that is. Some of the old ones have the rounds that the new ones dose not have anymore .

I am at 7 grains of Unique...shooting that load is somewhere between mild and slightly stiff...cases are easy to extract and the primers are still rounded along the edge....
