    Cast bullet mold

    My search functions leave a lot to be desired. Was on this site and reading about an Accurate mold for 30-30 wcf that sort of has a tapered nose section for an unthroated Win 30-30 barrel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Frank

    It seems that the Lee 308 170 grain FN bullet mold will work lightly crimped in the crimp groove. The front of the bullet is smaller than the rifling. On my Marlin 336C 30-30 the front band on the bullet is about .003 back from the rifling.

    The notes for this one say it's for 30-30 with a short throat.

    TomAM, yes that is the one. Many thanks for doing the search. Both my Lyman 311291 and 31141 have noses that on a good day will measure .299 and don't shoot that well. thanks again, Frank
