    Any score is a good score. Lead is getting harder to find at affordable prices.

    Good price for lead. Not to put a damper on this but lately, I've found dive weights to be "mystery lead" who's alloy varies greatly between weights. At one time you could count on them being pure-ish

    I would highly suggest melting down and then send a sample to BNE here to test and give you alloy makeup
    It will save tons of time and wasted resources guessing what it is

    I'm not that sophisticated as caster. I tossed them in the pile of other dive weights and fishing sinkers I have and some day I'll melt them all down, cast some boolits, coat them in your Red PC (I like your Red, easy to use, purdy, and goes a long way) and then go kill some cardboard!!!!!

    The factory dive weights that I have had had a hardness consistent with clip on wheel weights. Home made weights could be cast from anything. Melting it together and just using it probably works about as good as anything. You might drop a drop a acid on each one first, just to check for zinc.
