    Stock Modification ?

I would like to extend the stock of an FR8-mostly to increase the length of pull. I can use a recoil butt pad, the holes required can be managed without major disruption. My question is how to fill in the gap between the existing metal butt plate and the new pad. Any suggestions welcome.

I have made shim like thingys. The shim bolts the the existing holes and then the recoil pad or spacer bolts to that. It takes a bit of work but the rifle is only modified in looks, it stays original.
