    Awesome AR Boolit

Could we get Miha to do ultimate AR Boolit???
I have 1 to 7 barrels and 1 to 9 barrels. I'm thinking a 68 grain +/- gas check flat point that will reliably feed in most any AR. 6 cavity brass and 8 cavity aluminum.
No grooves set up for Hi Tek or PC. Simple deal. Any Honchos/designers willing to step in here???

No, too light and too heavy. Anemic meplat even for a .223. No lube grooves.
Hi Tek or PC design. But if it had no lube groove it might be right there weight wise. Blow out the meplat a bit and bingo.
No reason not to be 6 and 8 cavity solids.

Arsenal molds has one called the Elvis...one at 62 and one at 77 that fit that bill...I think

I saw those, too heavy and too light. Right around 68-69 would be perfect. If it has anything to do with Elvis Ammo, count me out. What a moron. There is no way a 77 would work in a 1 in 9. I want a Mihec not an Arsenal. I wish Tom did .224s I would get the best just as I want it. The 61 grain Elvis is a good start, just add 11% in weight

Alloy differ so much from individual to individual that what you’re asking for is tough. I will link this to “ the designer” and see what he says.

Thank you. Forgive me, but how is the lead alloy issue a greater obstacle with a .224 bullet??? As opposed to other calibers??? It is really bullet length that has to jump the shark between 1 in 7 and 1 in 9 barrels.

You gave a narrow weight range. Alloys have my boolits varying by 2-3 grains sometimes.

I think right around 68 to 70 grains would work in all my ARs
    1 in 9 and 1 in 7
That is what I am looking for

    That would be fine.
70 grains +/- should work fine

Lets run the current design then. This will get cut at 10 sign ups.

Works for me. It is out of stock so it is a win-win all around. The Hi Tek option and an 8 cavity aluminum mold would be nice. I am in.
    Thank you

The 75gr NATO from Mihec drops around 69-70gr with my range scrap alloy. You are not going to get a much better bullet for an AR than that one. The lube groves are small if you axe them and keep the gas check (I'd keep the gas check) you'll maybe add 2 grains to it. Which is more than acceptable weight wise. The 75gr NATO is not much longer than the 65gr version. The metplat isn't very big but on a .223 bullet they are going to be small. About the biggest metplat you can put on is what we did for the 100gr .223 bullet from a fairly recent NOE group buy. That bullet has a metplat around .130".

I would take the Miha 75Nato> loose the lube groove, keep the GC, add a crimp groove (good idea on auto loader), Shorten the boolit just enough to get the idea increase in meplat. If all that was done right it would come out right at 68-69grs.

I am in on the current group buy for for NATO mold from Mihec
NLG aka no lube groove for PC which should be around 75 grains
It has a small meplat, but should be sufficient for my purposes
