Well used 10\22 Magazines

Would you drop them in the ultrasonic cleaner either assembled or disassembled?

Gun oil on spring and reassemble?

I see no reason you couldn't use the ultrasonic cleaner. If it were me I'd disassemble them first so you could be sure the crud was all out. I don't know about oiling the spring. I think I would look at some kind of dry lube. It's been a while since I did mine, I'm interested to see what others have to say.

I disassemble them and spray them out with Gun Scrubber and scrub with a toothbrush. I then lube them with Hornady dry lube. Been doing this for a long time.

I strip mine scrub out then a bit of silicon lube on the ends of the rotor .

I use the EASY button and drop them (fully assembled) into a bath of new/clean kerosene for a swirl-n-swim of a few hours, ensuring that I move the followers (etc) while they're in there awhile.

I remove them from the kero (which should now have streaks of dissolved gunk in it), shake them off & air dry for awhile.

When the carrier evaporates, the kero leaves a very thin film of oil, even in hard-to-reach places.

last ones I cleaned i just dropped them into a pot of boiling water on the stove- came out just fine!

I disassemble them, clean them the old fashion way with oil and a toothbrush.

Back in 1966 when I cleaned my first 10/22 rotary mag. I took it apart and cleaned it with Hoppes and a tooth brush, reassembled and used it for about 2 yrs before I had to clean it again. Back in those days I was shooting jackrabbits and ground squirrels for the farmers around Coalinga Ca. Dry, dusty, and dirty; I shot between 500 and 1000 rounds a week. The only part on that little carbine that ever failed was the magazine, and then only after an awful lot a ammo had gone down the barrel. Brodie
