I’ve purchase 9 different powders over the past 15 years or so…

I’ve found uses for all of them, especially the WC-844. I’ve gone through almost three-8 pound jugs of it. WC-852 has been good for several cast boolits, especially in my 30-30’s. And WC-820, AA#9S and WC-680 for handgun rounds. The super slow burners, WC-860 and WC-872 for full-case larger case capacity cast boolit loads. (Dirty, but still worthwhile). And even 5010-PD—but not really much good. IMR-7383 is THE powder I have found the best for the 6.8mm SPC using the NOE 279-124-FN…

Prices are much higher today and there doesn’t seem to be the selection anymore. Friends and I would purchase six 8 pound kegs at a time and not pay Hazmet…

    Oh well, days gone by…

    Good-luck…BCB

I could never find any surplus powders but I recently purchased 2 different Vectan powders GM3 and A0 on sale for $14.50 /0.5kg (about 1.1lb). Ends up around $13/lb and you dont have to buy in large quantities. I got couple to try with free hazmat sale which I thought was a good deal. Sale was at https://www.natchezss.com/ but its over now sorry.

American Reloading has a stock of WC844 and WC846 (at least the site shows it on hand, YMMV), and with coupon code turkey15, you can get them for as low as $12.88/# shipped including hazmat.

    LINK:

Also, if they have any projectiles of interest to you, use code turkey25 for 25% off.

Thought I'd post this up as I stumbled on it in my Black Friday deals travels.

well you might try gunbroker https://www.gunbroker.com/All/search...Sellers=682195 seller is selling 16 and 10 pound. what i bought was under 10 dollars a pound delivered to my door even with hazemat. unfortunately i bought some wc868 by mistake but will use it for something. at $120 for 16 pounds delivered it will get used. also bought 16 pounds of wc 846 which i can definitely use 150 for 16 pounds to my door. now that is a lot lower than retail powder.

GIbrass has Surplus WC844 for $99/8# can. H335 is somewhere in the range of $161/can without shipping or hazmat. I think that's worth the savings. I ordered some for my club to sell. It's good for hoser ammo that the multi-gun guys use for under 100 yards & 55's. All they need is 2 on paper so sub MOA accuracy isn't needed most of the time.

    FYI,

Bartlet (GIBrass.com) has some powders in stock that have not been available as surplus for a while.

    WC820 (pull down) - H110 equivalent $99 / 8 lbs

    WC820 (new) - H110 equivalent $120 / 8 lbs

    WC680 (new) - AA1680 equivalent $120 / 8lbs

    An believe it or not: IMR4895 $120 / 8lbs

Gunbroker can put surplus powder to shame. Prices on that older powder don’t make it worth storing to me unless I was going to burn it in 2 years and the newer powder may be a good value thought among the offerings
