I got mine last week. Beautiful mold and I hope to break it in this weekend.

I shot up most of my target 500 loads last week just to make room for this!

You (plural) will LOVE this mold. I have an older version of this mold, and at always gets OOOOHHH and AWWWS from the folks at the gun range. This one is the best example of this pointy 500 mag mold I own. Congrats to all who got one, and thanks to Miha for another masterful engineering and machining job!

I would like to ask all of you IF you have used this mold, and if so, could you kindly post some images of the castings, mold, etc.

Also, if anyone has not yet used their pointy .502 mold, please let me know here.
Who's gas checks will you use on this mold?

I found that since this is a heavy bullet, I had to bump up the tin a bit (used half a stick of wave soldering alloy - 60/40 - stirred into a 20 pound pot) to get the corners to fill out, and be careful to get the mold hot enough.

NICE bullets. If you don't mind me asking, who's gas checks are you using? A few people are having fit issues with the gas checks they have.

Well Duke, as you no doubt have learned in life, there is usually a back story. I ordered a bag from Sage's. But, being in the proverbial hurry I always seem to find myself in, I did not have a .501 sizing die to assist in the application of these checks to the base when I got the checks in. So while I was waiting for the sizing die to arrive I super glued them on and a week or so later when the die arrived I then ran them through the sizer to both lube size and crimp the check on. What I have still not done yet is to see if the checks are securely attached in the sizer without the need of super glue.

They should never ever require superglue. They should crimp on during the lubricizibg operation.
Do you have and raw castings that you could try crimping in place without the superglue?

I have received my replacement block, and everything is perfect.
Please advise if you didn't receive a replacement, or, if there are any ongoing issues. Miha has taken steps to make sure that all future sizes ( all sizes of all molds) of gas checked molds are perfect from the get go. He has addressed this one quickly and professionally. Buy with confidence.
