Butler creek makes a decidedly inferior knock off. I bought one because they were on sale for 10.00: For the money, I'd rather have had lunch at McDonalds. The Butler Creek ASAP does not work smoothly, the cartridges are blocked from going back under the feed lips of the magazine deep enough. Buy the original, it's worth the money.

After a couple of months working with the Uplula, I can honestly say it works really well.
I got the version that loads anything 9mm and up. I have used it on 1911 mags and double stack 9mm with no issues at all.
I had previously used an HK mag loader which needed to be fairly specific as to brand of mag and caliber. The single Uplula replaces them all.
Thanks for the recommendation fellows. It is a big help.

When I was a young fella I could load anything and never needed a loader.

Now I'm old(er) I realize i was foolish when young.
I have a couple maglula loaders so one is always handy.

They make a piece that clips on the bottom for single stack mags. It's what that split ring is for.

I just got my 8th Uplula yesterday. I have one in every double stack pistol bag. One in each of the bags that hold 9mm carbines/AR pistols, and a couple spares in the truck.

+1 for the upLula. I have the 9 and up one. Nice and easy to load my 9, 40, 45, and.10mm mags. Need to check out the one for ar mags

Now that I think about it I wonder if it will fit the DE 44? Gonna have to try it on that one as well

I was so disappointed when I found out that my Uplula wouldn't work with the Scorpion magazines. Thanks to you however, I now have the Maglula on order. This is gonna be a real good day.

I ended up with two of them for my Scorpion. I bought one online, after the LGS didn't carry them. Next time I dropped in they told me they came in..................so I felt obligated to purchase one from them.

I go out of my way to make the guys at my LGS happy to see me. They have an accomplished gunsmith on staff and a salesman who specializes in NFA paperwork. They've always got time to spare.

I hate loading a mag without one. Its like my headset for my phone. I cant stand holding a phone to my head any longer now that I am accustomed to my headset. Same with my uplula's.
