Not being nearly as active on Cast Boolits as on other boards I've been a bit reluctant to post this. However, it's obvious there is many Christian brothers who belong here and I treasure every Christian brother & sister.
About a month ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer. As one of my dear, dear friends and classmates from the 1st grade said, it was a "God incident" it was even discovered. Had zero symptoms and only went to the ER with incapacitating back pain. Personnel and staff at the ER suspected a heart attack....which I was 99% certain it wasn't and turns out I was right but, that's ok, I could have just as easily been wrong. While checking blood samples they discovered my hemoglobin was way low and insisted I follow up with my personal doctor, which I subsequently did. She ordered a colonoscopy and during it, the mass was discovered. It appears that we're still ahead of it to at least some degree.
Not to belabor the subject, surgery is finally scheduled for next Monday, July 2nd. The festivities begin at 1:15 PM. Obviously I'd like prayers for me but as much for the surgical team and more so for my wife. She had a brain tumor 3 years ago with subsequent surgery and radiation. She is doing great and at 95% to 98% of her old self but, her ability to handle stress has been significantly compromised. She's handling this ok on the outside but I know better on the inside. I'm a whole lot more worried for her than for me.
