The lyman 454190 works good in mine.

454190 does work, but has no crimp groove. Find the OAL, and use a Lee FCD to crimp into the boolet
Mine loves the Lee 452-255 as cast, no sizing. My mold drops them right at .453-.454". I tumble lube them with 1 light coat of BLL.
With the slow twist rate you would think that you would have to push them really hard. But when I was working out my loads I got a pleasant surprise.
The same load of 8.5 gr of Unique that I use in my Vaquero and my Blackhawk is deadly accurate in the Rossi. I have never chrono'ed them out of the Rossi but my guess would be 1100-1200 fps.
And one more that surprised me. I have loaded 8-8.5 gr of Unique as a standard load for a long time. But I have a load that is even more accurate though not by much.
The same Lee 255 gr bullet over 7.5 gr of Bullseye. What a great combo.
Best of luck,

I second the Lee 452-255. If your hunting deer, the NOE 280 grain WFN is tough to beat as well.

454190 is not recommended for tubular magazines. I cast a lot of 454190 for revolvers.
