I use a 18 cavity mold from Lee it works great. The actual size of 00 shot is .33 and I load nine of them in a 2 3/4" shell. I think they are running about 1300 FPS over my Chrony.

    I have a Do-it slingshot pellet mold.
one side casts .31 and the other side casts .38.
Cast hot and fast, snap off the sprue while the lead is still grainy and you can make buckshot fast and easy.

I haven't cast round balls before, but lots of boolits. Do you have to do anything special to get good buckshot with the lee 2 bangers? Wondering if there is a casting technique necessary to get good patterns. Thinking about developing a 20 gauge buckshot load.

Nope. Actually one of the easiest of the molds i own to cast good bullets. Dont pressure fill it. Small cavites make it squirt. I keep the spout about an 1/8 of inch away from sprue. It likes to run a touch hotter for perfect bullets than my 9mm molds. So when i cast with it in tandom with 2 molds i have to go a bit faster to keep it hot.

So far i am.happy with the 25 yard groups. I just got some shot buffer to try and tighten it up and maybe get a blue dot load.

I typical do not recommend Lee molds, but the 00 buckshot is cheap and it works.
