    grips needed

i was shooting my COLT MOD 1911 A-1 and both grips broke where the top screws hold them on. i tried to glue them, no luck. does any one have two of them either wood or the Bakelite ones, any condition? if so please let me know, thank you.

I only have a set of stock RIA black rubber take-offs, but https://www.altamontco.com/pistol-gr...nment/classic/ has some very nice basic rosewood starting at $35.

I have a pair of stock Taurus ones somewhere. They are checkered black plastic. If I can locate them they are yours. Free...

The key is "if I can find them". I will look this weekend.

Ok. Bad news... I searched everywhere when I got home from work this morning and I can not seem to find them. Not suprising since last I saw them was 10yrs ago or so. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

If I do come across them I'll PM ya.

That darn George probably snatched a set for you already, but if he loses your address I probably can find a set.

I don't read a completed offer/acceptance here. If you still need a pair PM me your mailing address and I'll get a set out to you. I probably have a couple of dozen sets put away in a box, and at present there's a set of smooth wooden grips off an RIA 1911 lying on my workbench that haven't made it into the box yet.

I sure could use a decent set of grips for my springfield. My grips didnt break, but the checkering is worn off in a few spots cause I been carrying it for 6 years straight.
