    Ruger blackhawk

Ok so I recently bought a 357 blackhack and trying to figure out what year the gun was built and can't seem to navigate through Rugers website. Serial # is 32-18xxx. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sometimes sites can really mess with a person.

    Welcome to the Forum!

Even the factory website can be confusing & not always correct.

We collectors use a Reference Guide published by the Red Eagle news Exchange. Your serial number indicates it was made in 1973.

Now,, if you want the month and year it was made and when it was shipped & to where it was originally shipped,, you can request a "factory letter" for the fee of $10.00.
The Ruger Records Dept will look it up & get you correct info.

Thanks guys. That was fun. My BH .45 was shipped in '89. Other Rugers from '77 to '18. The only one they didn't find was a MKII Target Gov. .22

I don't think of myself as a Ruger Fan, but they make guns that fill a certain niche that no one else did/does. One time I counted guns in the safe and was shocked to find I had more guns made by Ruger than any other make (included were 2 10/22s for the Grandkids).
