Most of the pewter you see is so ugly looking you couldn't hardly give it away. I found alot recently for reasonable prices. Much is so overpriced that it will still be there in 10 yrs, at least that's what I tell the stubborn dealers who won't come down on the price.

it was in a box in front of an antique store in my hometown, marked "Pewter, $3 each"
naturally I bought it all.

Nice our local dump finally started up a take it leave it center where people can leave good items vs toss them.
My first walk through found 2 pewter trays.
Left some unwanted coffee mugs.
The amount of good quality hockey gear was shocking.

Played hockey growing up, my skates are growing mold in the attic.

I was grateful these guys just wanted to dump this stuff, man it smelts up easy!!

I am also into a very nice wheel weight stash at .35/lb (sorted coww!!)
Still not a lot of casters around here.
