How does one cast hollow base bullets?

One uses a hollow base mold. I know, it sounds simple, but like a hollow point requires a mold designed to put something in it to create the hollow point, ditto for the hollow base.

Thanks all for your kind words and feedback. I have cast about 1500 bullets now and I will begin to experiment on some powder coating. I will provide updates on my progress once I figure out what I am doing.

Easy powder is the stuff that Smoke4320 sells here in the VS section. Coats good and recovered bullets show coating intact except where it engaged the rifling.

Thanks daloper, I got my hands on a single stage press. I am going to goof around a bit with it. If I really get into this hobby, I plan on a Dillon 650. The problem is that a few months from now, I might be relocating to China, which puts all my guns and ammo on ice
