I have yet to buy into the novelty of the pistol caliber ARs, but just about any carbine pistol combo in 9mm, 40, or 45auto could be appealing given the proper scenario.

My personal favorites in pistol carbine combos are 22LR, 357mag, 44-40.

But 9mm is the overwhelming choice in PCC competition.
I feel much the same way about this,,, however I had not been able put it so succinctly before today.

    I will spread this around.

.357 Mag. or .45 ACP. Because I have them in handguns and they're awesome.

Just picked up a Keltec sub2000 in 9mm it is total hoot to run rounds through. I mounted a Scout Scope on it and the little carbine is very accurate with ball ammo at SD distances. Fun stuff.

I had a Browning 92 in 44 Mag, and it was a nice shooting piece. But I couldn't scope it, and that was important to me, so down the road it went. It was all quality.

Twenty plus years ago loaded for a 8mm French Model 1892 revolver using a LBT WFN. The cartridge is basically just a ".33 Special", half way between a .32 and a .38. You make them from 32-20 brass. Would make a pretty nice combo if a body had a Model 1892 revolver in good condition and a rebarreled or rebored Winchester, Savage bolt gun or some such.

You just talked me out of a Ruger LC9e.
Thanks for bringing me back to my scenes!
However, I'll stick to my 45 Ruger 1911.

A little bit of "Old Time Rock & Roll" Pistol caliber carbines are more fun when they are select fire!
