    Ruger Super Redhawk Barrel Dims?

Does anyone have access to factory blueprints of a Super Redhawk barrel. Specifically, for the turning and threading of the barrel portion entering the frame extension? Three phone calls and an email to Ruger proved fruitless.

Yes, I can mic the takeoff, but I'd much prefer to have a drawing in front of me.

    Thanks

Chris Rhodes re-barrels Redhawks, so he would know. I believe the thread shank diameter is the same as the Super Redhawk.

Also, removing the Super Redhawk barrel is very difficult to do without damaging the gun. Hamilton Bowen has developed a special process and fixtures for removing and replacing SRH barrels.

While the thread pitch is the same 3/4-20, all other dimensions are different. Thank you, though.

This is the first time I've heard it to be difficult. I've read many articles and threads of Diy'rs changing SRH barrels. I do have all the tools necessary to make a proper, gun specific, vise block. Damaging the firearm is always a concern, thanks for a heads-up. I'll look into Hamilton.

Ruger only does factory available conversions/swaps, if they'd do it at all.
This is a completely custom job and will need to be tinkered with along the way.
