WTB: .54cal Green Mountain LRH T/C Drop-In Barrel

Looking for 1 or 2 .54cal Green Mountain Long Range Hunter barrels that drop in to the T/C Renegade stock. Stainless or Blued. Thank you in advance!

Good Luck! A friend looked for years and finally found one...seems they are rare.

Another option if .54's cannot be found, a couple of .50 Renegade barrels sent off to be rebored is a lower priced option but the barrels aren't extra long like the GM's.
Another option is rebore to .52. The TC barrels rifling is so shallow they clean up to .52.
Best wishes on your hunt for barrels and hunts with them!

Thanks you! I figured this wasn't going to be an easy find but might as well put the fishing line out there to see if i can snag one or 2.

Good idea! Ill have to figure out who to do that then. Wouldn't mind adding a .52 to the stable. Be unique. and Thank you!

Opting for a twist as slow as feasible, this is what Robert Hoyt was requested to do on mine:

    Bore Diameter 0.520"
    Groove Depth 0.003" - 0.004"
Number Of Grooves As many as practical. Grooves and lands of approximately equal width.
    Rate Of Twist 28"

Out of curiosity, were does one send a muzzleloader barrel to be rebored?

As of July 2016 I sent him a barrel for rebore . Address Bob Hoyt, 2379 Mt Hope Rd. Fairfield Pa. 17320. Phone # 717-642-6696. If you call, try early in the morning or in the evening...let the phone ring. Very satisfied with my barrel.

Question: What is considered long range? Years ago I purchased the parts from TC and made a drop in barrel that is very accurate. The original barreled drop in and the new one both fit the TC Contender Stock. I believe I made it 30" and don't remember the twist. It has been kept properly cleaned and in excellent condition. I will sell it depending upon what you offer for it. Yes I can take a picture of it tomorrow if your interested.

The barrels im looking for were made by Green Mountain. They were for the T/C Renegade and had a 1-28" twist. It was a specific barrel line GM did for modern conical and lead bullets in T/C muzzleloaders.

    Flint or percussion???
If they came in flintlock, i would kill to see one! I would even consider it too! As far as i know, they only did the drop-ins percussion. Could be wrong though.

Fleabay usually has an assortment of renegade barrels. Some TC some GM etc. even some of the TC’s had fast twist. Now price is a different story.

I was looking for a slow twist flint GM drop in for my renegade/hawken build. Lucked into one on there.

Did see a short 21” or so LRH flint barrel once for the renegade. It was in .50. If it was .54 I woulda been all over it.

No kidding. This thing is like trying to find hens teeth! That's also cool that you saw a 21"! Didn't think they went that short!

I found one of these, NIB, a few months ago. 50 cal, 28 inches long 1:28 twist. Haven't shot it yet. I do have a Green Mountain LRH in 50 cal 1:66 twist that is a real shooter
