    Unequal

I just got an email from Midsouth about some new IMR powders. They have one called Unequal. They say the following:

"IMR Unequal combines small-sized flakes for uniform metering in all pistol applications and its burn speed accommodates a wide range of shotshell and pistol cartridges"

Do we finally have another Unique? Has anyone tried it yet?

It is out of stock and not listed in Hodgdon or IMR powders. I wonder if it is actually produced yet?

I hope it is not more marketing BS and these new powders have advantages over the old ones we have used for decades.

That was my first thought too.
Also the Red, Green and Unequal will come in 14 oz. lb. canisters...they claim it will meter well but it sounds bulky at 14 oz.
The National Center for Forensic Science doesn't have any info on them yet either.

This sounds like an April Fools Joke. Are we sure the release date isn't 4/1/17?

My guess is that Unequal is the new version of Unique.

Terrible marketing. UNEQUAL?? Sure doesn't imply an improvement.

it's just new powders made to be sold in Europe which has to meet their industrial waste laws.
as a by product we get it here too.
probably shoved down our throats through the supply line.

some powders are sold as 14 oz now that amount of powder just happens to fit in their canisters.
if you buy it by the 8lb jug the powder actually works out to be about 10 bucks cheaper a lot of the time.

So they're now dumbing down powders. I'm assuming the colors equate to flakes for "easy identification". They need to take the warning labels off of everything and let nature take it's course.

And someone needs to step away from a thesaurus w/ a name like Unequal. Sounds like they're all new "green" powders that are being forced on us. Doesn't matter if we fix the over regulation issues here. W/ the global economy the manufacturers are forced to meet the requirements for the strictest countries.

I have a lot of powder so I will likely never buy any of the new "improved" offerings

if that were on the shelf I'd be happy about it.
