Hmmm... you powder coated right over the gas check too. Does that work okay ?

I've been thinking of PC, just haven't done anything yet.

I've been looking at the powder coating also...

Is there a Utube or some such video on how to do it? I have no idea on the process at all...

And, what is the advantage of the end product?...

    Thanks...BCB

I use PC to indicate either alloy or weight change.

If my gas checks are loose I powder coat first, otherwise gas check first.

Oh funny - I gas check and if it's loose, I throw the boolit back into the melt pile. Then I PC with the GC on. I resize after and it all comes out nicely.

With a couple of my molds you would throw all of them back in the pot and get the same thing when you recast them.

I'll wait 'till they come out with clear coat.

Don't want no one thinking I'm loading my gun with jelly beans. LOL

MP Lots of clear and semi-clear powder available. It's my favorite and seems to give me the best over-all results. Gp

Smoke sells clear, and the Bronze looks almost
    Like a J-Word when baked

Yes. If you have a nice fitting GC, then seating checks before powder coating is the way to go. Otherwise, PC will add diameter and the GC will no longer fit. My process is to seat checks with an NOE sizer, coat, then size again. The PC doesn't adhere as well to the Gator Checks that I use, but find that to not be a problem whatsoever. This works for me, but many of you have far more experience with gas checks than I do.
