I know it's a magnum, but 5.5 grs of unique and the 358156 gascheck hollow point with bens red lube can shoot 6 rounds @ 1/2 moa at 25 yards . cast these with range lead. Gun is Ruger Blackhawk 4 3/4 barrel. Will try unique up to 7.0 gr

Lately I have been shooting 6.2 gr of Herco under a Lee 158 gr rfn cast with a mix of 2coww-1soww and Tac1 in my Ruger Security Six. I get about 1\2" @25yrds also.

7 gr of true blue with Lee's 158 gr pb boolit shots very well for a light load.
Lee 125 rnfp over 4.0 of red dot. Pop gun but accurate. Lee 158 rnfp 4.5 to 5.0 red dot. Nice load.
Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.
1/2 MOA at 25 yards is .125". That'd be 6 shots in a hole smaller than the size of a dime.
Did you mean half an inch at 25 yards? That would be a hole slightly larger than the size of a dime.
Ok, one inch group at 25 yds
+1 for a 120 ~ 160 gr boolit over Red Dot/Promo 5.0 gr in a .357 case.

HBWC over 3.2 grains W231.
158 SWC over 4.0 grains W231.
Anybody using a Lee 358-105 and have any data?
I tryed BE-86 last summer. Working up to 8gr's with a LBT 150gr. owc. I do not know how fast thy are going but I liked the way thy shot. I loaded up a bunch to plink with to get a better feel for them. But this could become my standerd load for my Security Six four inch.
We go through life trying to make the best decisions we can based on the best infomation we can find, that turns out to be wrong.
I used to shoot a lot of 158 gr. swc under 5.5-6.0 gr. Herco with CCI 500 primers.

I use 8gr AA#5 under a Lee 358158 rnfp, I get 1100fps in my revolvers (6" and 7.5") and 1375 out of my Miroku 1873. I use this because it shoots well in all my guns, so when I go pull a .357 load to shoot, I don't have to be sure I'm pulling the one for the correct gun. Don't know if that's light enough for you.
