Iphone ~app~ for drill sizes - fractional - metric - letter - number & tap sizes

I just got a new Samsung J3 Galaxy Eclipse iPhone recently and am still learning everything.

This app is pretty cool. It has a lot of information quick. I just looked to see what drill size I would need to make a cookie cutter to pan lube for .268" bullets for the 6.5x55. Looks like .267" is the closest but I don't have that one as its metric. So I'll have to single-point bore it on the lathe.

This is a very simple free app with charts for drill bits sizes in fractional inches, metric, US number, and US letter sizes.
It scales to larger screens on 7" and 10" tablets for easy readability.

12/1/2013 - Added a Tap Drills for U.S. Sizes chart with drill sizes for 100%, 75%, and 50% threads as well as clearance sizes.

Not picky.........Android “googlestore” apps will not run on Apple iPhones. Apple’s stringent review of apps vs Android’s “open door to everything” policy protects iPhones from renegade/ diseased/contaminated apps. I had that problem with my droid Mot phone. That is why I switched to the Apple iPhone.....for 3 generations now!

I have drill charts all over the place but don’t look up drill sizes for taps very much.

I keep the drills and taps in their own indexes NC, NF right and left hand. Keeps life simple.

Handy because i can never find the dang tap chart when I want it. Always misplace that thing... and now I am dealing with a lot of metric stuff with modern electronics so tapping a metric hole will be less of a pain!

There are similar apps in the Apple store that are free.

I prefer using the many charts I have lying/hanging around. Don't want to risk breaking the screen on the iPhone in the metal or wood shop either. Charts are so much easier to use (and READ!!!!) on an 8˝ x 11 plastic coated sheet.......than a teeny weeny itsy bitsy 5" phone screen!

I must truly be a caveman! I do not own a cell phone of any kind or flavor. I have a wall phone in the kitchen if I get any kind of calls or make any. I have charts of many types for drills, taps and just about anything else I actually need or use posted on the walls of my workshop.Robert

major dia. - .5pitch = tap drill dia, roll taps.
    Imperial or metric.
