PPS 43 muzzle brake

PC is collecting in the muzzle break but the barrel is clean.

The pc'd boolits passed the smash test (turned 1 into a square and 1 into a penny with NO chipping or flaking


The PPS 43 is so fun that it gets expensive in a hurry feeding it J-words. Would it hurt the overall function to enlarge the muzzle break a few thou?

I mentioned this before on a simular thread, but after seeing the threads where some gun powders dissolve pc on the base of loaded bullets, I have to wonder if that disolved pc isn't what y'all are seeing in your comps and suppressor. I didn't see BE-86 listed, but if you pull one that has been loaded a week or 2 and look at the base of the bullet, you may have the answer.

Sorry, you said BE, not 86. BE is one of the powders known to attack pc.

Are you sure its PC and not carbon ? That would be the first I have heard of PC collecting in a break and no sign of it in a barrel
of course pc in the barrel shows you have other process errors

If it is PB Bore Tech Eliminator will clean it off

Alliant makes a powder called sport pistol that will not breakdown powdercoat. It all depends on if that is the problem.
