If you are going to go to the trouble and expense of building a 25-20 SS rifle, fifty or a hundred rounds of brass should not be a limiting factor. It’s not like an AR where you burn off a couple of hundred rounds every time you hit the range... you’ll have a single shot, and 25-50 rounds is a good day’s shooting. Also,if you breech seat at the bench, you might get by on a single piece of brass, used over and over. I bought a couple of hundred rounds of original Winchester and Rem-UMC brass years ago, but at this point if I needed brass, I’d just post a WTB here and on the ASSRA Forum.

BTW what action are you planning to use?

I was going to use my Grampa's Bridge Gun Company .410, have Mr. Taylor build a rifle barrel of the same contour. add modest engraving, French Gray receiver, and new Turkish Walnut stock.

since it will be passed on to my Grandson, I won't be concerned with justifying the costs.
plus I'll have the enjoyment of teaching him to cast, load, shoot and small game hunt with it.

    I sold my Marlin 25/20 like a fool , so I found a Marlin 218 Bee
But it isn't as good with cast as the 25/20 was

The 25-20 Single shot is a different caliber than 25-20 WCF.

I didn't mean to be short with you, was just pointing out the difference.
