    Cannon shoot

This is a video I did at the Wild Horse Rendezvous, Cyr Montana, Memorial Day weekend. This is sponsored by the Sapphire Mountain Men, and is a yearly event. This is the largest cannon event in the northwest, although the number of shooters was down this year.
The laughing was about one of the cannoneers trying to light his vent pick, instead of a fuse. He was also trying to shoot full cans of beer, which did not work worth a hoot!

We will remind him of this in the future!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Great video. I wish I still had a cannon.
There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialismóby vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide. Ayn Rand

I have a cannon I don't know much about. It is brass and is a repro. Never been shot, but has drawn blood. I have busted my toes on it for years.Click image for larger version.
