    Belgium Fabnad Arms ?

    A fellow club member has a .243 bolt action rifle made by Fabnad Arms for sale. I asked him for any particulars thinking that he had abbreviated the mfg. and it was an FN military action that had been re-barreled. He says no, it's not military, not an FN but a Belgium made Fabnad Arms rifle. Which leads me to ask, since I can find nada on Fabnad Arms, is anyone familiar with one of these?
    Inquiring minds need to know.

    He's going to bring it to the next BP shoot. I'm really hoping that I forget to take the checkbook!
    I've already exceeded my 'disposable income allowance' for the year.

    After looking at how the left side of the receiver might be stamped, FAB.NAT.D"ARMES, I'm inclined to think that this is a commercial FN bolt action rifle. Haven't had any luck in determining date of mfg. though. It has a 3 digit serial # with a B prefix.
    I'll find out what it actually is in a week or so.

    FAB.NAT.D'ARMES = Fabrique Nationale (FN).

    Any .243 would have been made sometime after the cartridge's 1955 introduction.
