Sears High Standard) model 34 triggergroup removal

Working on a High Standard semi-auto .22, tube fed. Anyone know the trick to remove the trigger assembly? This model forend has two "ears" that extend over the receiver with a bolt through and through. Took out the bolt and looks like the TG should slide down and out, leaving the bolt in the receiver. The rear section slides down a bit but something is holding the front of the assembly. I've tried all combinations of safety and trigger positions I can think of but no dice.

Dan, there are several models of tubular-magazine High Standard 22 rifles, and they were marketed under several brand names (e.g. Sears, Higgins). If you know the model it may help.

After removing the through bolt, pull the trigger group up and back towards the butt stock. It should move slightly rearwards, and then up and out.

This is Ted Williams model 34 sears 583.5402. I removed the through bolt and the trigger group dropped down about 3/8" at the rear but didn't release at the front. I can see a pin sticking out of one side of the TG up in the reciever that I wonder if should be centered and not protruding. Wou;d be difficult to get anything down into there to see if it will push in. I've even removed the butstock to see if that helped but it didn't.

Ah! Thanks for that Preacher Jim! I have removed the spring tube from the tube magazine.
