Exclamation Rich Pierce E-Mail for flints

Does anyone have a CURRENT e-mail address for Rich Pierce flints? I would like to try them out but can't find a current e-mail address for him. Any info on these flints as well as TOTW Tom Fuller flints are also welcome. I'll be using flints in a L&R lock in T/C and Lyman GP guns. Thanks to all!

Bob, Rich Pierce is a moderator on the American Longrifles site and is a frequent contributor there as well. However, AFAIK, he's no longer making or selling flints, but you can easily find and ask him your question over there.

I use Tom Fuller flints from TOTW and have nothing but praise for them. They produce hot showers of sparks and last a long time. In my most recently built rifle I put in a new flint at the beginning of each season, and after the season I practice with it all of the next year.

I recommend sticking with the Fuller flints. Bless Rich for making flints, but the Burlington chert he uses is pretty hard on a frizzen.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

    Tatume,
It's a Thompson Center Hawken with a Green Mountain barrel and a L & R lock. I also have a Lyman Great Plains kit I'm working on. It will have a L & R lock also.

    Waksupi,
    Good to know! Thanks!

I looked and found 2 flints for 11.00 in the size I needed, not really a good price for those unless I am looking at the wrong thing.Track of the Wolf has Tom Fuller flints for 2.00 a piece.
