Thanks for all of the replys everyone. The only reasons that I'm thinking of getting away from BL-C2 are the pressure increases that I have seen in hot weather and the little lower velocity. Thanks again!

I use AA2230 and buy it by the 8 lb. jug, can`t recall how many of these jugs I bought over the last 20 odd years.Robert

I have a load of 60 grain Vmax pushed by 23.8 grains of varget, ignited by a rem 7 1/2 at 2.25”. Awesome thing is that I tried it in another 223 rifle I bought and it was a perfect load for it too!
Sierra 55 grain sp and 24 grains of IMR 4166
55 grain lead tip and old AA2200 pulled powder 1:12 twist 24 gn most acurate thru Encore at 100 yds, went up to 25.5 and group started to open up. Backed down to 23 gn and opened, so settled on 24 gn with around 3250 FPS best groups @ 100 yds, killed many a deer with this load and Bullet comb. They generally drop when hit in the right spot. The bullet never goes thru tho all the way so not a good blood trail if not hit right. I just take my time and aim good and get meat.
Hornady 55 gr FMJBT's with 26.5 gr of CFE223 under them shoot great in my rifle
kids that hunt and fish dont mug old ladies
69 gr sierra match king CCI std primer 24gr tac .still trying to get a good load for 55 gr Lee boolit .
My old faithful load is with H322 powder and a 52/53G match bullet and a match primer. I have yet to own or see a rifle that has not shot it well. its been a most accurate loading in many rifles.
I wanted a 60g load with one rifle and tried same powder with a 60g Vmax and arrived at a load producing 2900 fps and sub MOA accuracy.
For my $$ I don't need any other powder for the 223 than H322.
