    Crosses the divide: Jim Duncan

Jim Duncan was a wonderful gunsmith (Notch Pass Gunworks), an artist with wood whether it was stock making, fine cabinetry, or customs french doors. He was an ardent boolit caster especially for his beloved 45/70's and his Mausers. He was my friend and we had plans to spend the winter in his shop creating a full maple stock of his dreamed-of Pennsylvania flintlock while he would help me with carving my maple stock for a T/C Seneca. He will be greatly missed. Fair winds and following seas to a fine gentleman. He was much too young to pass.

Sorry for the loss of your friend, and sorry to hear that another craftsman has passed. Go ahead and do the stock anyway, as a memorial to your friend.

It has been my experience that the Lord takes the truly good ones home early.

    Sorry for your loss.

The graveside service was very moving. At least 150 people were there on short notice including the bagpipes. Car licenses from as far away as Colorado and Montana. Most everyone was still in shock since only an hour before his passing he was planning shrimp fishing trips and visits from friends. He was an amazing guy.

Condolences to you , other friends & of course his family.

Like was said earlier... You say ya both had plans together to do some things... Maybe do them in memory of him.
I'd reckon all would be better for it.

Best wishes in a tough time..
