Very Nice Garand for Sale w/bayonet & LNIB Atlas Bipod PSR BT46-LW17

1942 Springfield, I got it from a private owner. I believe it came from CMP a long time ago. New wood, great condition.

Bayonet is a cut down, UFH, its super nice. Makes a nice addition to anyones collection. If a buyer is interested I would sell reloading dies, and a case of match brass at a discount. But not required.

    $1100 for gun and Bayonet.

    Will sell separately. Just inquire.

No trades this time, just looking to sell.

Barrel stamp at the front sight reads how?
    Serial number (approximate)?
All MFG marks on parts are SA?
Do you have the muzzle and throat erosion numbers?

    Thanks!

Sorry, bbl stamp would probably be ahead of the chamber. My 1903 knowledge leaked over onto this Garand posting...

That serial number places this gun about October 1942 manufacture date on Springfield's production chart (could be September if in low end of the range).

The barrel even if replaced should have a MFG and month-year stamped close to the chamber area of barrel, under the forend wood. It usually is placed so the stamping of mfg and date shows when the bolt is retracted.

Are you saying: you are sure there is no number, or that you can't check it right now?

While you might have the stock off -
Is there any epoxy or other non-factory bedding material inside stock?

I think on M1 Garand the barrel date is at the chamber end under the op rod. Pull the op rod back and you should be able to see it.

No markings on the barrel I can find. No epoxy in the stock.
9029xx serial number so yes, 1942, my mistake.
It is for sure a new barrel they installed, this was from previous owners recollection from the CMP a LONG time ago.
