    Lodge Griddle/Grill

I've been looking to replace my failing Aluminum/Teflon disposable griddle.

I had been looking at the $75 Lodge Griddle/Grill on Amazon for $45. I found the same one at Costco today for $35 and they throw in 2 scrapers and 2 egg rings. Cast Iron is USA, accessories are not.

In case anyone else needs a deal.

Cast iron is whats important. Lodge is made in Tennessee.

Cheap cast iron is not good but Lodge is good stuff. I'm suprised, that is a real good price.

You're right, Lodge cast iron cookware is very high quality. I too am surprised at those prices.

It was down a side isle, might be worth a look. It's this one but with scrapers and egg rings. https://www.amazon.com/Lodge-LPGI3-R...D5ZX13ZQP41YQ7

The aluminum/Teflon griddle was starting to fail after 8 months of daily use. It's a Boolit sorting tray now!

I use a US made cast iron grill griddle very often. Been using it for many years and not been as careful with it as my cherished old cast iron pans yet it remains an excellent tool. My favorite cast iron pan is over 100 years old and works perfectly. With just a touch of care the Lodge griddle will last 100+ years too. If you have not yet cooked on cast iron you are in for a treat.

There are cast iron pans that are used every day for generations. They do nothing but get better.
Take care of it and you can't wear it out.

Just bought a used one at a flea market last week. Haven't used it yet but it looks like it could be used for a lot of things.

I miss COSTCO, haven't had one within 100 miles for about 8 years now.

Second time was the charm. The first eggs stuck a little. I been putting a dribble of avocado oil on each time and spreading it thin with a corner of paper towel. This morning the eggs told me I was a little high on temperature when they hit the griddle so I shut off the burners and finished them on residual heat. Perfect eggs! Nothing Stuck!

    I Believe!!!

    It's something I wouldn't mind having...
I'm trying to teach my wife about cast iron. She has some Japanese cast that works well, especially when she bakes cornbread, and they are light weight. She can't seem to understand that the cast needs to be heated and then the heat turned way down, as the pan will keep hot forever. My Lodge pans aren't used by her unless I get them out, due to the weight. But my big pan is finally to the point where I can make pancakes without getting them "over done". ( that means burned..)
I also have a biscuit ring that has 7 holes to make cathead biscuits. It's seasoned well and the finished biscuits fall right out.
