I was wondering if a barrel from a H&R 088 shotgun would fit a basic H&R action like a 158 Topper or something similar? Maybe a newer N.E.F.? Thanks for any help.

Definitely maybe. It might lock right in, it may require fitting. You would have to try it.

Answer is: It depends. They are relatively easy to fit if the lockup isn't what it should be. All the info you would ever need is on graybeards.
