    Website performance

How has this website been performing for everyone? Has anyone seen any slowness or laggyness to it? Everything running ok? Questions? Concerns?

    I haven't noticed any issues.

Sometimes it locks up and I have to reload it,or it takes a while. But thats normally during a period I expect is high usage. Normally it works very well.

I might clarify, it only seems to be slow when I open a thread from the search into a new tab, or when I go to the next page from the search.

I've been having issues but wouldn't be shocked it the issues are just from this crummy netbook using 802.11 (wireless) to access the network here; Its' network antenna seems to be quite lacking. It too-often hangs up during loading a page (slow CPU, only 2GB RAM, its a temporary machine till I get the good laptop fixed, or move this to the newer faster laptop.) So if no one else is having issues its just this lagging machine.

Occasional slowness, nothing severe. However I can't open an attachment. Never been able to, nor have I seen an answer to this problem. Am I still out of luck?....charlie

Sometimes when I add several pictures and hit "post quick reply" there will be a big white space and missing picture, but if I hit refresh the white goes away and all is good.

I have the same problem opening attachments -Attachment 220147 - http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...=1#post4365964

For the past several weeks it has seemed very slow. More so early in the morning. Not everyday but most days. Some days it has been so slow that I've left in frustration. If I came back later in the day everything seems fine.

Today looks like it's going to be another slow day.

Where I live we have a Cox Cable monopoly. Nearby Cox competes with other providers. They use all of their resources to improve service in the area where there is competition. The only thing they do here is raise our rates. When this web site gets slow, so do all the others. It's not the web site, it's Cox.

Same experience as TATUM, only here it's Charter/Spectrum. Lots of folks finding other ways to access TV and internet. They(Spectrum) are using cheap undependable chinese equipment, and it fails before the service truck shadow clears the driveway. They advertise 200-400 MB speed and seldom deliver over 60.
For that reason, I wouldn't know if CB was a source of a problem or not.

I haven't seen problems here, but haven't tried uploading pictures for a while. Everything seems to be working fine on my end.

Was in a thread last night and unable to upload pictures from my computer. Links from outside sources seem to work. But my computer is super slow and about two years past replacement time...

Just tried again and no luck with uploading pictures from my computer.

The site has been working flawlessly for me. Thank You. I access from a laptop at home.

(Now I'm looking for a piece of wood to knock on.)
