my old 521 T bolt with lyman peep sights love the federal champion 525. my ruger 22-45 mark3 as well, while i get nothing but troubles with winchester 333 or 555...something related to this specific hollow point profile and COAL. my 521T goes sub moa with eley standard and federal match at 50 all day long.....i must admit that i'm quite sold to the federal champion because it prooved accurate in most 22 i've shot to this day. M-22's are the only winchester accurate enough for me.when i can't get federal ,i content myself with M-22's. yes i'm cheap when it comes to 22 ammo.

It's been my experience with 22 ammo that (in general) the more you spend the more accuracy you get, if your gun agrees is the real test. CCI SV is generally very accurate, except for those pesky fliers (about 1/10), where as I think most bulk pack is probably 1/3-1/5 . That's where you get 3 holes in one group and 2 in another in the same group. Of course with anything 22lr, throw in the least little bit of wind and all bets are off.

I have around 30 22rifles & handguns. I can't really say any of them are picky. They are all older
classics except for a 77/22. They are good shooters or I wouldn't keep them. Some like certain
ammo for best results but none are noticeably inacurate with common ammo, bulk is different
    story.

I have to agree with Texas By God on the Remington 581, I have one also and that thing shoots anything you put in it accurately. I bought for the kids to teach them on when I got married(4 step sons) but they didn't like it as well as the center fire rifles so iI kept it for myself.

So I was wondering what your experiences have been with ammo and 22s.
Have found that the best accuracy with any 22LR bullet are those rifles with original Ballard deep cut lands & grooves. So in my case, JM Marlin, vintage 1882 single shot - Wurfflein Ladies model 22LR and believe it or not, a cheap Marlin Model 80 DL bolt action with peep sight

My CZ 452 ultra lux is my favorite .22 rifle as it will shoot under a .5" with most ammo at 50 yards and my ruger American 22wmr will shoot .03" groups at a 100 yards.

Another vote for a CZ. Mine is a 452 American. Accurate with everything I've tried in it.

Single shot Rossi, came in a handy carry bag with a single shot 243 & 20g interchangeable barrels. The rifle doesn’t care what it shoots, from colibri to stingers, at appropriate distances it’s on.

Seems like any eastern block rifle will digest anything fed to it and be accurate.

    Be safe

We have the matched pair .22/.410 and both barrels are great.

The CZ452 is a very accurate rifle and not picky about ammo.
When cleaning the bore, it also seems to be tighter than the other .22's that I've owned.
