    WTS: Range Lead

I am selling this for a friend who cannot continue in the shooting sports for health reasons.

I have 6 fifty pound boxes of range lead ingots, most of these are muffin ingots, approximately 1.5 to 1.75 pounds each. They easily fit into my Lee 20pound furnace.

    $70/box (MFRB) SHIPPED

Payment by Paypal, money order or personal check is fine. Or cash if you dare! Product held until checks clear.

First "I'll Take It" posted here followed by a PM gets the goods.

    Thank you for looking!

    ALL BOXES SOLD.

Can't speak for op, but it is range lead. Unless it is the unusual range where a lot of cast is shot, it will be 1 percentish antimony and.perhaps a molecule of tin. 10 to 11 bhn. Add a bit of tin and it will be great for low pressure cartridges like 38 special or 45 acp.
When you care enough to send the very best, send an ounce of lead.

I shoot RS as is and have never needed to ad any tin for bullet fill out. I shoot 9mm (high pressure) rounds in my race guns and it works just dandy.

I do not know the BHN. I can say that the ingots that I dropped on the brick floor of my porch made a ringing sound. This didn't surprise me; most of this scrap came from our local club's pistol trap and most guys use use alloy equivalent to wheelweight metal. We do not allow any jacketed ammo to be fired in that trap, cast boolits only! Some scrap was also salvaged from the smallbore rifle trap and is, of course, softer. When I cast with it, I mix it all together and add a little tin to get it to fill out.It makes good pistol boolits!
