CLOSED - 462 Hammer GC 330gr Mihec Cramer HP - (RERUN)

27AUG18 - Last call, Miha has mold blocks ready for machining!

    03SEP18 - Now Closed

Designed by 45 2.1, its a VERY proven design, Thank you Bluejay75 for the suggestion. Miha already has the cherry for this one, just need buyers!

462 Hammer GC 330gr Mihec Cramer HP
This is a run of an earlier Lee GB. This will be a single crimp groove, GC cramer brass mold that is suitable for the 45-70, 450 Marlin and like 45 caliber rifles as well as 45 caliber handguns. It will cast at 0.462", 0.357" meplat to crimp groove and a 0.379" meplat. It sizes easily to 0.452/0.454".

Would be available in 4-cav HP Brass, 4-cav Solid Brass, or 6-cav Solid Aluminum. (Choose GC or PB)

It needs 13 buyers to commit to this thread before it goes active, and 25 buyers gets Miha cutting molds

This is a dandy bullet boys.
I shoot it in my Marlin guide gun in front of 2400 powder and it is stupid accurate all the time.
This is a year around load with 24.2 grns of Alliant 2400 with a medium crimp in the groove it always shoots cloverleafs at 100 yrds.
I also shoot it in two different muzzleloaders in a sabot. It shoots 1 ragged hole at 50 yrds on top of 100 grns of pyrodex powder.
Remember always work up your loads carefully ever gun is different!!

    Yes sir.
It is all this baby needs.
It releases off the pin super easy and it creates a huge mushroom when cast soft.

I have killed 3 elk with it in my smoke pole.
All 3 dropped like Zeus hit them with a sledgehammer!!
Deer just drop over and not even twitch.
I think I have killed 6 deer with it in my smoke pole.

The kinetic shock is awesome and the internal damage is great!
The nice thing about shooting it in a smoke pole too is zero meat loss.
Even if you hit a rib or a shoulder the blood shot is very minimal.

I'll take a 4-cav HP Plain base. I see all you have listed is GC, but if it comes in 4cav, plain base, I want one.

Good catch Beagle, I forgot to mention the PB, I've added it as an option. I'll list you as wanting an HP w/PB unless you say differently.

    This looks awesome!

It seems the last few of these group buys have been 4 or 8 cavity only. Why not 2?

Are there ever any moulds with gc and pb together?

Miha is causing Honchos to go towards 4-cav in the HP, because of his requirement of 100 pins of each type, before he will run the molds. If I allow 2-cav, it takes 50 buyers and by recent history, we wont get that many to ever sign up...

Ok, so if the 295gr will not go active, I'd be in for one of these in 4 Cavity Hollow Point Brass, .460, PB. (Standard shipping)
