Who is ready for this really well proven design?.... 458 SOCOM, 45-70, 450 Marlin, just to name a few. This Hammer mold has proven itself with many hunters and sportsmen alike!

It's an awesome boolit. Jump on in!!

Bluejay75, they are a .460 now. I can't quite remember what size they dropped. I cast too many sizes and have such a bad memory.

Now that is some casting skill!!! Gorgeous boolits. Is that a .462 sized down?

I'm starting to think I might need this in the .460 size.

I plan on feeding it to my .454/.45LC and a .458 SOCOM. also WAsalmonslayer mentioned that his .460 drops at .462. I'm hoping the more experienced casters will give me some guidance.

I plan on casting with range scrap.

    Hi Thraxx,

I contacted Bob Kell, who is the designer of this mold. From his response below, I think the .462 mold will work very well for all your needs. Might require a bit more force on sizing, but this is truly a multi-capable boolit:

Some history for you.... this was a want from a guy in the NorthWest, he had a mold which shot very well, but was on it's last legs... he wanted a duplicate for his 45-70 AND wanted it to be capable of being used in a 45 Colt at 0.452", so he sent me some of his last bullets out of the mold before it died. Well, I worked it out so it did both, the only mold to date with a possible 0.010" sizing spread. Start changing the nose size and the compatibility and fit drops. Leave it as is and note the original purpose of 45-70 and 45 Colt loadings............... Bob

4 cavity GCHP all pins for anthony (no spaces) b45@verizon.net . I would also take a two cavity solid PB IF we get to that point in the order process.

Thanks AnthonyB, I've listed both in my post and will contact Miha to confirm, but I dont see any problem with the 2 cav solid.

Thank you. Do I need to request all pins or is it assumed they'll be included?

You'll get all the pins that are available. No need to mention, even though everyone does...
