WTS- 1951 marlin 35 Rem - BALLARD RIFLING - EXCELLENT CONDITION

Looking to sell my 1951 marlin sc in 35 Remington. It is pre microgroove, and has traditional Ballard rifling. It’s all original finish. The waffle top has not been drilled and tapped. There has been a compass inlaid in the Stock, and the front sight may not be original. There are a couple of dents in the stock as you can see in the one pic. You just don’t see them this nice very often. I picked this one up but never use it. Asking $600

Is the rear stock original? And did this used to have a peep sight?

Stock appears to be original. I’m assuming it wore a peep sight at one time. The filler screws are missing

Can you check to see if the serial numbers match from the stock to the gun?

Wow. I didn’t think this one would still be here. Bump up to top.

Per our PMs, I will take it.
I was a dog on a short chain.
    Now there's no chain.
