Power cords and switches are in.

    SSRs and PIDs are in

I have enough TC in stock so waiting on enclosures which tracking shows Friday.
Let’s hope that they aren’t missing parts.
One shipment only have 1/2 the end plates.
    It’s a gamble i take.

Please forgive me but this weekend is my wedding anniversary so I will be busy with it.
But I plan to take the end plates to work next week and use the mill to locate the holes and drill them.
Much faster and more accurate then me using a template and doing them by hand.

Got in 30 enclosures in 2 shipments today.
20 in one and 10 in another.
Missing 8 screws from 1st package and 3 screws from the second package.
    Typical.
Lucky that I been ordering these for a while and have about 40 or 50 extra screws.

I should have all the parts to start the ball rolling.
I am still missing 1/2 the circuit breakers

I don't know how I miss this GB but I would like to be on the next one if it happens.

I was able to build some units prior to the rest of the family waking up the past couple days.
Built 6 units and shipped out 5 units. Have 24 more to build and ship.

Have mounted the SSR on all the enclosures.
Soldered the Pico Fuse on the switch assembly on all the units
The most time consuming part seems to be soldering the wires on the 15 amp Circuit breakers.

The default temp setting is 750 degrees.
When you unit is ready, I will contact you with a Paypal information that will allow you to pay for your unit.
You must send it via Friends and Family or include $3.50 for their few.
I can't afford a $100 expense if I have to pay PP fees on 30 units.

You will respond back with your USPS information

If you want to mail in payment, that is fine also. Just please keep in mind that I will skip over you and go to the next PP buyer.
When your payment arrives your unit will ship the same day.

Thank you! I’m excited to get it! I can’t believe how fast this closed. Surely this sets the record for closing time.

Hatch, I received my unit today, and am very delighted with the quality!!

    UPDATE: I figured it out..........
Here is the link, which I should have read, FAQ, in your V/S section:
    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...atch-s-PID-FAQ

    ------------------------------------------------
The operation is quite simple. The only button that wasn't discussed in your YouTube video is the one just to the right of the set button. It is a > button. What does that do, if anything? I kinda presume it has something to do with changing "menu items" and I am reluctant to mess with it, just in case I do something horribly wrong.

Up Arrow = make pot temperature higher
Down Arrow = make pot temperature lower
Hit SET twice after changing the pot temperature
    > = ???? <<<It is the "auto tune" feature!

Hope my reply helps someone else, who otherwise would have the same question.

I have updated the first post.
I am running out of circuit breakers. I have 3 orders coming in on 2 shipments.
They could arrive in 2 days or could be another month.
    the ETA is Jun 16th
If you don't need a circuit breaker then let me know. I can give a $2 discount. The CBs cost me $1

I read up a bit on the "auto tune" feature, and it seems to me that it's an important thing to run before trying to use your casting pot seriously. As Hatch's FAQ points out, the auto tune feature cycles your pot through three full heat/cool cycles, and calculates the proper "how much amperage to give it" ratio. That ratio is different for every casting pot. So, I urge all of you, who bought this unit for full control of your casting process, to run the auto tune feature. Press the ">" button to set that in motion.

Be forewarned, the FULL THREE HEAT/COOL cycles takes a long time!!! Longer if your pot is chock full. The heating coil for the pot is in the bottom half of the pot, so I filled mine half full of alloy to do the auto tune. Should be pretty close. Don't be in a hurry when you first receive your PID. Hatch has made this a full featured unit! Take the time to properly set it up for your casting pot. You'll be thankful that you did.

I plan on making a new EXCEL spreadsheet for my casting process, something which I never did before. Previously, I would fiddle with the temp on my RCBS Pro Melt casting pot, until the molds filled properly. And, I would have to re-learn that magic temperature every time I ran the same mold. Now, I can do that fiddling with this PID, and document the proper temperature for every mold. That way, when I run a mold again, I can check my spreadsheet records, and dial in the documented temperature at the get go, and be in production pretty quick.

Enjoy your anniversary. I just brought my wife home after 168 days in the hospital and rehab. Time passes so fast and other things seem trivial.

Got some mill time and drill all the plates.
Spent the past several hours assembling 15 front plates.

Plan is to use up all the circuit breakers I have tomorrow. Should be 5 or 6 built units ready to ship tomorrow afternoon.

Good news is tracking on the circuit breakers show Thursday next week as the estimated delivery date.

    Busy day.
I will send out payment request for the 6 ‘in progress’ units.
    Those are finished.
Waiting on circuit breakers but the remaining units are 90% finished.
