Alternative would be to start a waiting list for the next one; I might well get a 2nd one then. Be nice to upgrade the old RCBS, and add a newer one LOL

I already increased it from 20 units to 30 units.
As it stands now, it will take 6-8 weeks to fill this one and that is only if the time estimates are correct from my suppliers

(1) I work a full time job.
(2) takes 4-5 weeks for some parts to come in which means I have to spend several weekends to get them done.
(3) my policy on not taking money until I am ready to ship means I have several thousand dollars tied up which is fine but still.
(4) lastly, I am a one man show. Just me.

What other reasons do you need.

You can wait until there is another group buy (if there is one) or can purchase one at normal price.

I think you’ve hit on a really important point, there is a significant money outlay to go and order all of the components needed to build anything. Some economy of scale can be leveraged, but it is really a balancing act of how much cash you want to invest and how many weekends and nights you want to sacrifice for the effort (not to mention the space to store all of it)
I can say from being in the electronics manufacturing industry my whole career that I don’t envy anybody who wants to take on these projects and we should collectively understand that shipping delays happen, problem pop up, and the more understanding we can all be about the process the more likely they’ll be a second group by in the future

just sounds like job security for a hobby job. from personel exp I can tell you its possible to take something you like to do and make it it to a burden job that you start to regret, draw the line in the sand and stand your ground. I'll get my controller the next round.
