It has been drilled and tapped. The screw spacing is 0.420.

If you are looking to buy a new sight and you have the standard holes on the left side of the receiver I believe the williams FP-94 and 5D-94 should both work, the 5d is the budget model without click adjustments which makes it harder to sight in, but it's only $37 on midway right now. The FP runs about $60 I think. I just put a 5P on a pre-64 a couple months ago and in order to be sighted in 1" high at 100 yards it would have also needed a different front sight, which you can get as a package deal with the peep sight from williams. If you would like links to these just send me a PM.
If you get a Williams, get the one with clicks. The budget model is a PITA.

That is good to know. I have looked at both of those on line but no one not even Williams give much tech, data.
Do you know the hole spacing of those sights ?
Don't know the spacing but they are made for the gun I have installed many of them when I had a shop.
Mine is about a 1945 vintage and I don't think it was factory drilled although I could be wrong.
I have determined that my winchester is drilled to a factory pattern.
I am wanting to buy a peep sight that will fit a Winchester 94 top eject.
Who has one that they will sell ?

LGS has a Williams peep sight with calibrations. carries a tag; "for Winchester or Marlin", priced at $25, if that is of interest to you. Appears to mount on the side of the reciever with 2 screws, included.

It would be of interest but a friend tried to mount one from a 94 Winchester on a Marlin and it would not fit .I do not know the vintage of the Marlin.
