Die at left is a decap die -- it is universal to 5 die sets -- the knurled "ball" is the pin retaining nut -- You need a smaller dia nut for 270 or
a decap die that has a 10/32 stem instead of the .395x30 stem -

Priming die should be marked 2 -

right die looks like a DA seating die which should be marked 270 da or 153 -- That one looks too short for 270 --

you should also have a #2 adapter in the handles --

I enlarged foto --- DA looks ok if it is right number -- can'r read it

Primer is not clear either but number should be 2

Dacap is confusing as there is at least two styles and nuts -- yours is generally used for above 30 cal --
the other has a 10/32 stem/rod with decap pin and nut

Thank you Pavo, I am on my way to sorting this with a lot of help. I had a good phone conversation with Brassmagnet. Super informative and helpful all at once. Got my new mold in the mail today as well. This project is going to come together all right.

With the help of the fine gentlemen of this thread, I present to you my first loaded round with a 310 tool. It is a Lee 277-135 RF over 10 grains of Red Dot. Thank you to BrassMagnet, Fire, NoZombies, and George! Very cool stuff!

Good on ya! Now you’ll want to load and shoot a few hundred of those, then buy another set of dies for a rifle with a case using that same base size, then a set of small handles to load pistol length cartridges, and then... oh my! Another hand loader on the slippery slope. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I am beginning to realize from searching for George on here that he is somewhat mythical, his profile gives no clues, but the address on the package says he is very near my old stomping grounds. Good salt of the earth people there. Thank you again.

Success! On flea-Bay I found a set of purple steel handles for 32-20. It came in one of the old style boxes (yellow label) that doesn’t go with it and a TL Jr bullet sizing die (311) but the tool was what I was really after. I’ve dug out a complete set of properly marked dies and a bonus, the package I just bought had a fairly good instruction sheet. Now I’m trying to finish up the TL Jr set to go with it. Always something else to look for, but I can now load in style for my 32-20 M&P and my SAA copy in the same caliber.

PS I even found a push-through FL sizer... win!

Got to use the 310 tool and dies for real today! Decapped, primed, sized, dropped powder from Uniflow, and seated the boolits. 10 grains of Red Dot under Lee 277 135 did .25inch group at 25 yards. It will do better. The scope I was using does not have an adjustable objective. The crosshairs were fuzzy and doubled. 25 yards is the furthest the indoor range goes. Will head to the outdoor range on the next outing.
